FAQ’S / BOOKING TERMS

Below we hope you will find the answer to any questions you may have and some useful information to help plan your stay.  If you do still have any questions please feel free to contact us at westcotguesthouse@yahoo.co.uk

All bookings are bound by the information and terms below.  This includes bookings by telephone, email, online and reservations made through booking agents such as Booking.com

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation up to 7 days before the date of arrival then no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later the total reservation will be charged.  In the case of a no show the total reservation shall be charged.  We do recommend you have travel insurance in place to cover these eventualities.

Check-in/out

Check in is between 3pm and 7pm.

Guests should inform us of their estimated time of arrival.  This is especially important just now so we manage arrivals safely and separately

Whilst the COVID pandemic is active in Scotland we cannot currently offer early check in or late check but in normal times we can offer the service below.

Check in out with these times may be possible in exceptional circumstances for a fee.  This must be agreed directly with Westcot in advance of your arrival date.  Pre-arranged early check in may be arranged between 1pm and 3pm for a fee of £25.  Pre-arranged late check-in is available until no later than 9 pm for a fee of £25.  Early and late check is subject to availability only and must be requested in advance  A minimum fee of £25 applies to all arrivals out with the specified check-in times 3pm til 7pm. Please note that if you fail to arrive by 7pm we will class this as a no show (see the applicable fees above) and we reserve the right to resell your room.

Please note we do reserve the right to refuse entry and cancel reservations where our terms and policies, including check-in times, are not adhered to

Check out time is by 10.00 a.m.

Payment

All bookings must be accompanied by a valid and chargeable credit card.  Payment for your stay will be taken in the 5 days prior to your arrival.  If your card is not valid or is not authorised we will cancel your booking.  If you wish to make a bank transfer in advance of your stay please contact us for details.

We accept most credit or debit cards except Amex, Diners club and solo

Damages

Damages must be paid for in full on departure.  A charge will be applied to the value of repairs or replacement required for damages to fittings and furnishings which are found in bedrooms subsequent to a guest’s departure. This includes damage to towels and bedding from makeup and fake tan.

Internet

Wi-fi is available in all areas and is free of charge.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Please note that we are now adults only (18 years of age and over)  and do not accept children

Booking for large parties is not available online and can only be booked by emailing us direct.  Availability may be limited for large parties. 

There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

 Parking

Free private guest car parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed). We have space for 3 well parked cars, one for each guest room.  Please park with consideration for fellow guests.

Pets

Sorry we do not accept pets.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted within the building. If smoking is detected in a room then a full days charge will automatically be made.

DISCLAIMER: We will not, under any circumstances, use or sell your personal or credit card details to anyone. We do reserve the right to bill the credit/ debit card on file for any damages or no shows.
